Oliver

Oliver is my fluffy fur-baby, little love of my life!  He is the 2nd most important guy in my life - after the hubs of course!  Yes, I am one of those crazy people that considers her dog her child and I am perfectly content with it.  Anyone who knows me pretty well knows of Oliver and my obsessiveness for him!  I probably talk about him more than I talk about the husband.. oops!

Oliver

Oliver was my wedding/college graduation present and boy did it take me a while to find him.  I had been begging Eric (the hubs) for a dog for years and he finally said that we could get one after we got married and I was done with school, which coincidentally both occurred in May 2008.  Well I scoured the internet for puppies, at first I was set on getting a Westie.  I just loved that Cesar dog commerical!  But one day in a parking lot I saw this curly, fluffy little dog in a Jetta.  I had to know what kind of dog it was because that was the kind of dog I wanted!  I figured out it was a Maltipoo and immediately began my quest for finding the perfect Maltipoo.

By now it was November 2008 and we were at my parents' house for Thanksgiving.  After eating I went on their computer and started looking at puppies.  I freaked out when I came across a website that had not only pictures but also videos of Maltipoo puppies.  This was the puppy I had to have, tan with little white back paws, absolutely adorable!  I showed everyone the photos and video and they agreed he was a winner.  Problem was he was located in Texas.

Well the hubs decided to try to tell me that unfortunately this puppy was no longer available.  I was upset but decided it must not be meant to be.  Except a week later he was telling me we needed to go to Petsmart and get some puppy supplies "just in case we found another puppy it would be good to be prepared."  Well I'm no idiot, I knew that this meant he got me that puppy but wanted to surprise me with it!  But I went along with this and pretended like I had no idea.

The night of December 4th the doorbell rang around 9pm, which is odd because no one ever randomly comes over to our house, especially on a weekend.  When I opened the door there was my parents with a tiny dog crate with my perfect puppy inside!  I was beyond thrilled, he was so tiny, so adorable and all mine!  It was love at first sight!!  I mean he looks like a stuffed animal for goodness sake!

Second day we had Oliver

Ever since that day, Oliver has been extremely special to me and I'm so grateful to have him.  He never ceases to make me smile no matter what's going on in my life.  I know some people would say that he's "just a dog" but to me he is more than that.  Now that you know about Oliver, be prepared, this is definitely not the last you'll hear about him ;) :)

The Beginning.

This blog marks the beginning of a new journey for us.

Something to look back on and be able relive all of our amazing memories.

I can't promise you it will be all rainbows and butterflies but it will be our story and that will make it perfect for us.
